I've been buried in infrastructure projects, and then immediately had to catch up on some development research I wanted to get out of my way. Hence, the lack of blogging ...but I just had to do this little post / link as I think it's a great move by Microsoft to drop the 159$ charge for a copy of SharePoint Designer. The free download is now available here.

 

SharePoint Designer is a powerful tool. Obviously you need a copy when designing SharePoint websites, but it's also good for doing other web page layout work. E.g., I especially  like the ability to create no-code workflows in Sharepoint Designer.
